| kdevelop from fink | By Unknown on Aug 22 2008 at 12:04 PM |
| Hi, thanks for posting this. I installed fink and apt-get\'ed kdevelop, but it has all sort of errors. It first complained about dcopserver, then a number of plugins (KDevAppOutputView for starters) and if I run it more than once, it complains about not talking to klauncher. I would ignore it, except that than It looses access to the filesystem on all dialogs... I wasn\'t going to bother you with this, but I can\'t find any documentation on this setup :(. btw, fink installed everything on /sw, but this is supposed to be standard for fink... |

| Hi, I get two first erros during startup, too, but they have no effect on kdevelop. I once got the klauncher error two after killing kdevelop and restarting it without restarting X11. So if the klauncher error just comes up after a scond start of kdevelop, you just need to quit X11 and then start kdevelop again. Then it will run without any klauncher error und you've access to your files. /sw is the correct path for all programs installed by findk so they don't get scattered over your filesystem. I hope it hepls ;) Mips |

| Hi, I've also tried getting kdevelop running and get the same error "plugin KDevAppOutputView could not be loaded." Even when I compile the application from source I get the same error. On the Kdevelop faq it mentions making sure that your db41...db44 libs are taken into account within some of the support libs of kdevelop and that looks alright according to otool. Any thoughts ? See ya RS |

| Try to simply hit enter when these error windows pop up (I have to do this twice). KDevelop enters and works perfectly for me after this. | |
